Lights Off stickers are back by popular demand! An EcoSchools icon since 2010, these stickers act as a handy way to encourage students and educators to turn the lights off around the school  when they aren’t needed. This practice helps reduce schools’ energy use and promotes awareness about energy conservation, and helps develop energy-saving habits in school communities.

Recognizing and celebrating certification success is an integral part of the EcoSchools program. In addition to the digital recognition tools provided in June each year, schools have let us know that they want to showcase their EcoSchools achievements right in their school building for all to see.

Our solution is the EcoSchools stand-up banner! It’s a portable way to highlight your commitment to environmental learning and climate action. These banners are suitable for indoor and temporary outdoor use and do not require installation or ongoing maintenance.

Yes. Orders for t-shirts will be accepted until late winter/early spring 2024. All orders will be fulfilled in spring 2024.

To reduce our environmental footprint and keep costs low, we purchase t-shirts in bulk and then distribute them in bulk to schools.

No. Lights Off stickers can be ordered at any time during the year and will be shipped in a standard letter envelope through Canada Post.

Yes. Orders for celebration packages will be accepted until mid-May. 

To reduce our environmental footprint, all contents of the celebration package will be sent together in a sturdy kraft board envelope (9 ¾ inches x 12 ¼ inches) via Canada Post.

No. Window decals can be ordered at any time during the year and will be shipped via Canada Post.

After the order deadline, all orders will be submitted to the t-shirt and stand-up banner manufacturers as a batch. All items will be delivered by early June 2024, ensuring that groups like schools and EcoTeams will have time to distribute and celebrate their shirts and banners before the end of the school year.

Lights Off sticker orders will be shipped in monthly batches during the first week of the month. For example, if you place an order on March 28, your stickers will be shipped the first week of April; if you place an order on April 11, your stickers will be shipped the first week of May.

The EcoSchools t-shirt is available to everyone in Canada! We offer a wide range of sizes and accept orders for everything from an individual shirt to entire EcoTeams, classrooms, or schools. Orders of 11 or more shirts qualify for free shipping!

Stand-up banners are reserved for participating and certified EcoSchools. On the Checkout page, check the “Add a note to your order” box and write the name of your school and school board/district in the note field, as seen in the example below:

The EcoSchools Certification 2023 Celebration Package is available to any schools who certify at the Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum level in the 2022-23 school year. “Certified” window decals are available to any school that is currently certified, or has certified in the past, at the Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum levels. EcoSchools Canada staff will verify certification history of all schools before orders are fulfilled.
