Amplify Your Voice with Environmental Reporting
Contribute to raising environmental awareness, voicing solutions, and taking action.
What is YRE?
YRE Canada is a national environmental education program that offers youth the opportunity to amplify their voices, raise awareness and advocacy on local environmental/climate issues through critical thinking, creativity and reporting.
Participants (aged between 11-18) investigate and report on environmental issues, and propose solutions, by using video, photography or writing.
YRE Canada is part of Young Reporters for the Environment – an international program by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
Embark on a journey of creativity and advocacy as we invite passionate youth to participate in the Young Reporters for the Environment Competition. This exciting opportunity calls for innovative solution-based reporting through the mediums of writing, photography, and videography, focusing on pressing environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. This year’s international competition theme is centred around Ecosystem Restoration.
