Uniting creativity, innovation, and responsible paper use on National GOOS Paper Day, 2021!
On April 1, 2021, students, teachers, workplaces, and families from across Canada came together to celebrate National GOOS Paper Day. This national day of action, launched in partnership with Cascades Canada, promotes responsible and creative ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle paper.
Leading up to the big day, we created some useful resources and fun activities to support the EcoSchools community. These included campaign toolkits, a webinar, and an interactive quiz. To check out these resources along with other neat activities like how to make your own recycled paper or GOOS paper books, check out the National GOOS Paper Day webpage.
This year, EcoSchools also held a week-long contest where schools, families, workplaces, and individuals were encouraged to create and share their own GOOS paper bins. We received so many amazing submissions! Check out some of the amazing submissions below for inspiration!
Thank you to our partner Cascades Canada, and to everyone who participated, attended our webinar, and promoted the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling.
