EcoSchools offer a variety of actions that can facilitate learning in, about, for, and from the environment.

Our Focus on Outdoor Learning Pathway includes a number of engaging and accessible outdoor learning actions to inspire educators and students who are looking for ways to connect classroom learning to the outdoors.

      Create Nearby Nature Guides, Maps, and Signs

      Grow deeper connections to nearby-nature and share your learning by developing place-based field guides, maps, or signage!

      Sit Spot

      Cultivate awareness and well-being by regularly visiting one specific spot where you can sit, slow down, awaken your senses, and learn more about yourself and the local environment.

      Greenbelt Biodiversity

      Learn about Ontario’s Greenbelt and take action to track and enhance biodiversity on your school grounds. Schools located on or near the Greenbelt have an additional opportunity to receive a school ground greening grant! Find out more here.
