Litter Less Campaign

Join schools around the world in raising awareness and reducing litter and waste!

The Litter Less Campaign engages students, teachers, and community members to raise awareness and take action to reduce litter and waste at school and in their community.

Participation is easy!

1. Add 3 waste actions to your plan: Add at least three of the following waste actions to your plan on the EcoSchools Certification Application:

2. Take action: Learn about the effect of waste on the environment and run 3 waste-related campaigns at your school this year.

3. Share your story: Complete these actions in the ECA including the Action Description, Action Documentation, data questions, and participant numbers.

4. Complete a short survey: The survey will be released in February 2024.

Win a FoodCycler and get recognized

  • Participate for a chance to win a FoodCycler for your school or classroom.
  • Share your Impact: Share your waste-related actions via Twitter using #LitterLessCampaign and tag @EcoSchoolsCAN and @EcoSchoolsInt
  • Be featured nationally and internationally: Your school may also be selected and featured to a national and international audience through EcoSchools Canada and Foundation for Environmental Education.
