The June 1-5 EcoAction Challenge had 86 schools participate from 32 different school boards. Our panel of judges had a difficult time choosing between the many amazing entries, and after much deliberation arrived at the award winners.
The grand prize goes to Unionville Public School in York Region DSB, the second prize to Jack Miner Public School in Durham DSB, third prize to Erin Mills Middle School in Peel DSB , and honorary mentions to Prince of Peace (YCDSB), St. Eugene (HWCDSB), Parkway Public School (PDSB), Kedron Public School (DDSB), J.G.Workman Public School (TDSB), and Holy Cross Secondary School (PVNCCDSB). We appreciate all the diverse EcoActions that came in over the week: from rollerskating to school to planting trees to eco art murals. Thanks for making a collective impact and helping us celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Ontario EcoSchools program.
