Copernicus Educational Products has been nurturing its Trees for Schools Program since 2009. It started with a goal of donating 1,200 seedlings to local elementary schools, and over the years has grown to include more and more school boards and 20,000 seedlings! This year, the range has been expanded again, reaching from Windsor to Ottawa and over to Barrie with the hope of finding homes for 25,000 trees in time for Earth Day celebrations.
To qualify, elementary schools should contact Copernicus at marketing@copernicused.com with the amount of seedlings they need, alongside a delivery address and contact information. Copernicus will then arrange delivery to schools before Earth Day on April 22nd. Seedlings are intended to be planted at home and can be provided to the entire school, or individual classes, and are individually bagged with an information card on how to plant and care for the seedling.
